Customer Assistant
First, there was an online AI interview using a chatbot that assessed personality. It involved four questions, and answers were recommended to be between 100 and 150 words. This is something everyone goes through when they apply. After that, we had a video interview.
- Can you share a time you went above and beyond for a customer?
Customer Assistant
The interview was pretty chill, like a regular chat. Two people were interviewing me, one I was talking to directly and another was to my side, taking notes. It was a bit unexpected because they were really asking about my life outside of work, like if I played sports, which I thought was weird. They did say that 'sporty people do better here,' which was odd considering I'm a woman and the store seemed to only have male staff working when I interviewed.
- What are your hobbies or what do you do when you're not working?
- What would you do if a customer asked you about a wine you weren't familiar with?
- Would you be able to help unload a large shipment of pallets if needed?
Customer Assistant
Super simple process, the manager was really nice and asked direct questions. It took a bit longer than expected, but I'd suggest having some answers ready beforehand. The interview was on Google Meet. Having more availability can improve your chances, and it's good to be prepared for on-call work, particularly during the holidays. The hiring process can drag on even after you've passed the interview, usually taking about a week.
- Could you start by telling us a bit about yourself?
- What makes you interested in working for Dan Murphy's?
- What are some things you're passionate about?
