First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dallas College.
Coordinator
Had a virtual interview with the director and two other people. Mostly asked about my experience and conflict resolution situations. They explained the job and asked if I had any questions at the end. The whole interview was about 20 minutes, and I got an offer two weeks later.
- What motivated you to apply for this role?
Program Coordinator
The application process was straightforward and went smoothly, with good communication. It started with an online application, followed by a one-way video interview through SparkHire where I recorded answers to five questions. The final stage was an in-person interview that was well-organized.
- Could you describe the ideal skills and qualities for a Program Coordinator role?
- Which areas are you currently focused on developing?
- And what would you identify as your key strengths?
Program Coordinator
Applied online in the summer, heard back for a first interview in late fall. Then got a second interview the same month. I was offered the job, but couldn't start until February because it needed Board Approval. Luckily, I already had a job and waited until January to tell my employer I was leaving. The first interview was with a panel of 4 people, who took turns asking questions. The second interview was with my direct supervisor and one other person. They didn't ask many questions because they already knew I was a great fit.
