Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dalberg.
Project Manager
The whole thing took about 9 months and involved 4 rounds of case interviews, plus some general questions. The interviews themselves were fine, very professional. But the HR side of things was not great. In the end, they said they couldn't sponsor my visa.
- Can you estimate the market size?
- Do you have any other questions for me?
Project Manager
The interview process is similar to classic management consulting interviews. It typically involves 3 to 4 one-hour interviews. Each interview includes about 15-20 minutes dedicated to fit questions, followed by approximately 30 minutes for case studies. The case studies can differ: some are more like discussions inspired by Dalberg cases, others are estimation or brain teaser problems, and some might require a take-home component where you prepare and deliver a presentation.
- Why are you interested in Dalberg?
Project Manager
I applied online in May and after about a week, I heard back that I'd been shortlisted. Then, I had a Skype interview that was a mix of behavioral questions about my past experience and a case study. They were really flexible and worked with my schedule to find a time that worked for me. It was a pretty good experience overall.
- Tell me about a difficult situation you faced and how you handled it.
