The recruiter's English was poor and she rushed through the interview. I practiced the mock slides thoroughly and prepared everything to perfection beforehand. I was offered zero feedback during the interview but I felt it couldn't have gone better as I was experienced, fully qualified and have a bubbly personality and love teaching kids. 2 days later I received an email written in very poor English to inform me that I "did not fit well enough" for the position and they failed to provide any feedback as to why. I am very disappointed with with how I have been treated by Dadaabc, considering the huge effort I put in to preparing for this mock class as it was a requirement to have an educational background plus teaching props and the right coloured clothing. Based on my experience I don't recommend applying to this company.

I completed the application online, which involved tasks like checking my internet speed. Then I chose an interview time. During the interview, I was asked questions, followed by an awkward part where I had to teach an adult pretending to be a child. I never heard back for weeks, which was unprofessional. The interviewer seemed unhappy. I have 10 years of ESL teaching experience and know I'm good at it. I suggest applying elsewhere. Apparently, they over-hired and are letting go of past teachers and not communicating with new applicants.

After you send in your resume, they will set up a time to chat on Skype. Since they are in China and want native English speakers, these interviews are usually done online. They will ask you some basic questions about your past experience, your desired hourly pay, and your motivation for joining them. You'll likely speak with a Chinese employee, so understanding them over the internet might be a bit tricky but it's definitely doable. After that, they'll let you know if you're moving forward. Before that though, you'll go through about an hour-long tutorial of their teaching software. Then, you'll have to teach a live class – in my case, I taught a real student a real lesson. I think they review your recording and then inform you if you're hired and what they're willing to pay. If you agree, they'll provide all the necessary steps to begin teaching.
