Event Coordinator
Got a call the day after I sent my resume. The recruiter asked some basic questions and set up the interview for the next day. They sent an email confirmation and called again on the morning of the interview to double check. I was a little worried after reading other reviews, but I was hopeful. During the interview, which was only 15 minutes, I found out the job description wasn't accurate. It's actually a sales job where you have to approach people to sign up, and the pay is commission-based. Definitely not worth your time.

- Can you tell me about your previous sales experience?
Marketing Communications Coordinator
I was selected for an interview after the company showed interest in my resume submission. I had done some research on the company because I was interested in the marketing industry, but I was a bit skeptical about how they operated based on other reviews and their vague website. I had a quick 10-15 minute interview with the hiring manager. They asked questions about my background and resume, and what I was looking for in a company. The hiring manager was friendly and conducted the interview well. They answered my questions about the company and asked if I had any more. Later that day, I got a call saying I was chosen for a second interview the next day, where I would meet an account manager and experience the company's daily operations.
- What kind of company are you looking for?
- Are you interested in direct marketing?
- Tell me about your education and what's on your resume.
Sales Associate
The first interview was basically a meet and greet and then I got a second interview the next day. That interview was about seeing what the job would actually be like, which involved walking around Home Depot and approaching people to try and sell them on getting a Home Depot service to come to their house to check out their kitchen and give them a quote for new cabinets, etc. After that, I was asked some standard questions and then offered the job. I felt a bit pressured to accept right away, but I was given the night to think about it and I declined. It seems like a good job for someone who is good at sales, but I decided it wasn't for me. The people there were nice and seemed really professional.
- What are your long-term career aspirations with this company?
