Manager
I had a phone screener with HR, which was nice, and we talked about benefits and some job details. Then, I had a virtual interview with the hiring manager and a team member. The questions were mostly about my management style, which surprised me because I expected them to be more related to the job description, given that the role involves managing a few staff members. After not hearing back for over a month, I contacted the recruiter for an update, and they mentioned a high volume of applicants. About three weeks after that, the recruiter called to let me know they had decided to go with an internal candidate who applied last minute. The recruiter did call me to let me know though.
- Could you describe your leadership style?
Event Support Specialist
I applied online and a recruiter called me to discuss the job and ask some basic questions. They seemed really interested and wanted me to come in for an in-person interview with the executive director, which I did. The interview went well, and she said she'd get back to me by the end of the week. It's been over a week, so I messaged the recruiter. He replied two weeks later saying they'd be in touch. I still haven't heard anything, so I sent two more emails saying I'm still interested. They mentioned they thought I'd be a good fit and wanted to move fast, so I thought following up was okay. They ended up hiring someone else for the role and I never heard back. I didn't even get a standard 'thanks for interviewing' email. It's frustrating when they show strong interest and then ghost you. I was really hoping to work for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, but this experience has left a bad impression.
- What motivates you to want to work for the Fibrosis Foundation?
Investment Analyst
The process started with a phone screen with a HR recruiter. Then I met with 7 people on the team over 5 different rounds and did a case study. Most people were friendly, but the process was time-consuming. The questions in later rounds were repetitive and the case study also took time. There were a couple of similar reviews by others so maybe that's the vibe. Towards the end, I didn't think it would be a good fit because the investment program did not seem to have a clear strategy yet, and the hiring process was long and unstructured.
- What motivates you to apply for this position?
Coordinator
The talent acquisition team was super friendly and kept me updated from the start. I was really impressed with how they communicated throughout the hiring process. The final round was a panel interview with three hiring managers. It went well and started with introductions and background on the different sectors the role collaborates with. The interview involved going around the panel about 8 times, with each manager asking a general interview question.
- Can you describe a situation where you had a conflict with a colleague and how you resolved it?
