Junior Java Developer
The selection process at Cyient is divided into 3 stages. You have to clear all the stages to get a job in this company. So make sure you prepare well so that you can crack this selection process and get a job in this company. There's an online test, a technical interview, and an HR interview.
- Can you explain storage classes?
- What is the difference between auto and register?
- What are the stages of compilation?
Java Developer
It was a 4 stage process with aptitude, technical interview, another f2f technical and hr interview I went till 2nd round. The aptitude was oh an hour and had 9 sections containing every aptitude section from logical, quantitative to verbal and technical. Interview was very difficult all advanced Java questions starting from easy and increasing difficulty. Company was good staff was cooperative but very bad experience first 4 hours wait before aptitude then 3 hours wait for result then 3 hours wait for interview start
- What is the difference between encapsulation and abstraction?
- In what scenarios is a linked list preferable to an array?
- Explain the advantage of using StringBuffer over String.
Senior Java Developer
The interview process was supposed to be face-to-face, but it turned out there was a written test first, and only then would they qualify candidates for the interview. This wasted my time, money, and potentially my career opportunities, as I had to decline three other interviews for this. They really should have done this test online to save us time and money. Plus, the test was graded manually, so there was no guarantee of accurate checking.
- The questions in the test were all taken from the SCJP book.
