Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cybage Software.
Senior Java Developer
Had an L1 and then an L2 HR round. L1 was about basic Java questions, collection, multithreading, client handling, team handling, springboot, microservices, databases, and hibernate. L2 was about the project, experiences, and the processes we follow, followed by HR for salary negotiation.
- Can you explain Java collections, OOPS concepts, and multithreading? Also, tell me about Spring and security.
- Tell me about your experience with projects, the processes we follow, and salary negotiation.

The interview process involves three rounds. First, an aptitude test. If you pass the aptitude test, you'll proceed to a technical interview. Finally, if you clear the previous rounds, there's an HR interview. Scoring well in the aptitude test can lead to a direct HR interview.
- Tell me about your knowledge of basic Java programming concepts.
Java Developer
I was contacted by HR via Naukri.com and attended an interview at the Pune campus on a Saturday. The campus facilities are quite good. There were a total of 4 rounds: 2 technical, 1 techno-managerial, and 1 HR round. Each round was an elimination round. The manager round was selective and not for everyone. Overall, it was a good experience. The interview covered basic Java, Spring, SQL, JSP, and Servlets, with some tricky questions. The final round was HR, involving questions about family background. The offered salary was good for my experience level. I received the offer letter on Monday and am planning to join Cybage in March.
- Basic questions were asked about core Java, and also about topics from my resume like Spring MVC, JSP, and Servlets.
- There were some tricky parts to the questions.
- Collections, JDBC, Multithreading, and exception handling were the main topics covered.
