It started with a phone screen, and then I was invited to interview at the office. The office interview included a tour, a 1-hour chat with two staff members, some web search and writing tasks, and shadowing an employee. Everyone was super nice. The whole thing lasted 2.5 hours. I thought it went well, but a week later I got an email saying they found other candidates who were a better fit.

Had a quick phone call which then led to setting up an in-person interview that same week. The on-site interview started with a tour of the building - make sure to be engaging during this part as it's considered part of the interview. After that, I met with two supervisors for about half an hour. They really focus on behavioral interviewing, so be ready for that. The interview concluded with a skills test covering typing speed, written communication, basic math, and navigating a website. Finally, I shadowed an employee for about 15 minutes.

Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

I applied online and the next day got an email asking me to do a webcam interview. Since I don't have a webcam, I asked for a phone interview, and they were cool with that. The phone interview was straightforward; they just wanted to see if I knew the company's core values and would be a good fit. They then asked me to come in for an in-person interview the next day. When I got there, the receptionist greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome. They gave me a tour of the place and told me to ask questions. Then came the tests: a basic math quiz, designing two shirts, and replying to a customer's email. After that, I had a face-to-face interview with two managers. They were super friendly and enthusiastic, explaining the job details, training, pay, benefits, etc., really well and answering all my questions. After the interview, I got to shadow someone and ask more questions. The whole thing felt pretty relaxed, even fun at times. It did run long, though; they said 2-3 hours, but I was there for 5. It's easy to see why CustomInk jobs are so popular; expect a lot of competition. Even though it was a great experience, I didn't notice any older people working there.
