The interview process moved pretty quickly, though the questions felt like typical ones. I think I spoke with the right people, but the questions suggested there wasn't a super defined scope for the job (which is fine). They were looking for CPG experience, and that definitely came up.

Technical Presentation

So, similar to what others have said, they're basically looking for free feedback on their marketing and brand, and also trying to get free ideas for future marketing stuff. They'll have you spend a lot of time researching and working on a project. After four rounds of interviews where things seemed positive, they ended up saying they prefer candidates from the skincare industry.

Case Presentation

Beware - this is a lengthy interview process that takes 5-8 hours of your time, completely unpaid (and not even a complimentary product!) where your ideas are basically given away for free. The 3+ interview process is pretty ridiculous if you're not a final candidate for a job, especially in this case, where a 'case study' involving research on their live site is a part of the process. In my mind, this is a way for this company to get free feedback on their site and wastes the candidate's time. There was also a panel interview with 4 other members of the team, which is inappropriate and unfair for the candidate with a firing range of questions. Hard pass.
