First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cumming Group.
Business Development Coordinator
So the whole process was 2 steps. First, there was this quick 20-minute phone call to see if I was a good fit and to dive deep into a specific role on my resume. They mentioned at the end that they'd set up a meeting with the VP. This VP interview was online and lasted about 30 minutes. The first half was all about my background, and the second half was my time to ask them anything about the company or the role.
- Have you done report making and investigation before?
Project Engineer
The interview process was fast and went great. The recruiter was very responsive in scheduling and answering any questions or concerns I had. The engineering managers were also helpful in answering my questions about the role. Everyone I interacted with at the company was really nice.
- Can you describe a project you've worked on that is relevant to this role?
Project Manager
It was a three step interview process. Initially, there was a phone screening. This was followed by an interview with a senior VP. After the second interview, I was presented with a conditional offer, contingent on a third interview with the client I would be working with. The final interview unfortunately did not take place, which I was told was due to the client. Even though I received an offer that didn't materialize, I'd say the experience was positive overall. Their hiring process was organized and they communicated well.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your background?
Financial Analyst
I applied online and after about a month, I got a call from HR. We discussed my background, and the HR person seemed to like me and said I'd hear back soon about scheduling a meeting with the hiring manager. After waiting 2-3 weeks with no word, the recruiter called me multiple times over two days to set up an in-person meeting for the next week. I went in, and they had me waiting for about 20-25 minutes. The interviewer was nice, but I didn't like that the interview wasn't in the actual job location. They spent a lot of time asking about my high school and college, which felt a bit odd given my experience. After the interview, I didn't hear anything for 3.5 weeks, and then I got an email saying the role was filled by someone else.
