Had a typical first round screening with HR. Then interviews with manager-level folks, which went fine. After that, it was interviews with colleagues/peers. This was a totally different experience. The interview felt more like an interrogation with questions being fired at me, not a conversation. It showed a lack of experience and respect from them. These amateurs seemed to have influence on the hiring decision. No response afterwards, even after HR said they'd get back to me. It's really bad when employers don't follow up with candidates after rounds of interviews. It's common courtesy to at least send a note about the decision. It's rude not to follow up at all. This behavior says a lot about some current employees. Also, a manager I interviewed with left the company soon after, which is ironic. Doesn't seem like a great place to work or good people to collaborate with.

Shortly after applying online (a couple days to a week), you will receive a phone call to set up a phone interview time. During your phone interview, (which takes roughly 30 minutes), you will be asked a multiple of questions. Such as how do you fit into this company, what can you bring to them as a worker, previous employer, and reasons for leaving, job description, how you work overall, etc. If they find you as a fit for the company, you will then have an interview with the manager of the store, and he or she will go over all the different aspects of your job.

I interviewed with the store manager, a customer service lead, and the district manager, though usually it's just the manager. They asked typical interview questions, and I felt good about it. My application was flagged due to a past job termination, but they decided to interview me anyway. I don't recall many questions, and the interview was short. They look for weekend and open availability and prior customer service experience.

The manager was professional and clear about the hours, pay, benefits, and the nature of the job, which was part-time. She explained what to expect from employees and made me feel welcome and safe. She gave me a tour of the store, explaining everything briefly, and left me feeling optimistic with her positive attitude.
