Manager
The hiring process was a bit slow and not too difficult, but I felt it could have been smoother. A lot of personal questions were asked rather than focusing on the job details. Overall, it was a bad job experience.
- Can you discuss your past work experiences?
- Tell me about your life experiences.
Web Manager
I got a call from a recruiter and the job sounded pretty cool. Then I had a full hour phone screen. A few days later, I had an in-person interview that lasted from 1:30 to 5:30. I met what felt like the whole company - CTO, App Dev, Marketing, VP, etc. It seemed like they were unsure about what they really wanted for this role. They kept talking about web developer, web manager, or project manager, but admitted they called it a web project manager to filter out developer applicants. What they actually wanted was an internet marketing manager focused on SEO and conversions. Most questions were easy and didn't have much depth. I felt it wasn't a good fit, so I was relieved when they said they were going with other candidates. What was strange is after talking to the recruiter, the internet marketing team, and having those long conversations, I heard nothing back. I followed up a week later and got a generic response: 'We received your resume and while your skills are impressive, we are moving on with other candidates.' It felt like a weird response after a full day of interviews.
- How would you handle managing a project when the clients are unsure of their requirements?
Manager
You apply online. The District Manager will call you to set up an interview. They will discuss the job description and go over your resume. They'll ask for examples where you showed great customer service. If they like your answer and how you present yourself, they will offer you the job. Having a positive attitude and being approachable is important because you'll interact with many different people.
- Tell me about a time a customer felt they didn't receive outstanding service and how you resolved their issue.
