Intern
Aptitude tests like the CCAT, Matrigma, or general numerical/verbal reasoning ones are done to quickly assess your cognitive skills—think problem-solving under time pressure. Nailing the Self-Introduction (Your 1-2 Minute Elevator Pitch) is your chance to shine right after "Tell me about yourself." Interviewers want a glimpse of your personality, relevance to the role, and communication skills—especially in technical interviews where nerves run high.
- Can you tell me about your aptitude test results?
- Tell me about yourself and give your 1-2 minute elevator pitch.
- Can you complete this technical test?
Intern
First, you gotta send in your application online. If they like it, they'll shoot you an email to come in for an interview with HR. Before you go, make sure you practice introducing yourself real quick, talking about what you're good at and what you've done. You should also be ready to tell them why you wanna work there, maybe mentioning their values or how well-known they are, and why the insurance field caught your eye, like how stable it is or what kind of difference it makes. Don't sweat it if you don't get it the first time, failure's just part of learning. Just keep at it, learn from each try, and don't give up. Keep applying and getting better, success really comes from bouncing back.
- Can you introduce yourself, explain why you're interested in this company, and also why you're interested in the insurance industry?
IT Intern
My interview experience was really bad. It seemed like the hiring team was disorganized because they scheduled me for an interview with a full-time hiring manager, even though I applied for an internship. I found out during the interview, and both the interviewer and I were confused. We just went with it. Even though I'm just an intern, they asked me tough systems design questions. When I gave a good answer, the interviewer said it wasn't what he was looking for, and when I gave a bad answer, he said it was good. It was the strangest interview I've had. He told me he wrote positive feedback, but I didn't hear back from CSAA. After three weeks, I followed up with the interview coordinator. The next day, I got a generic rejection email from the CSAA career portal saying they were only moving forward with candidates who met the requirements for the role, which was weird because I definitely met them. Given how unprofessional and disorganized this company is, I wouldn't recommend them.
- They asked me systems design questions.
