First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crown Castle.
RF Engineer
I applied through my school and a recruiter reached out to me. They prepped me for a phone interview that was coming up with Crown Castle. I had plenty of time to study everything. The phone interview was with a Senior RF Engineer and a Supervisor. It was quick, focused on technical questions, and there weren't many surprises.
- Can you describe a small distributed antenna system (DAS) and explain its interaction with a macro DAS?
- What is the consequence if one of these small DAS systems fails?
RF Engineer
I've had my initial phone interview. This role is basically about training you for the job by having you shadow others. I'm still waiting to hear back about a second interview, it's been 4 weeks now and the recruiter mentioned the interviewers are taking a while to decide. The interview was pretty simple, it was mostly the interviewer explaining the job duties and asking if I was okay with them. I asked questions about the job, like who I'd report to, if I'd get enough time to train, and about potential growth. I interviewed with a senior engineer, so it wasn't really a formal interview. It was easy, but you need to know the company and DAS systems well.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
RF Engineer
There were several interview stages. First, a phone call. Then a technical interview. After that, another technical interview focusing on personal skills. Finally, an interview with the HR Director where we discussed company goals and what I would contribute.
- Can you discuss your previous experience?
- What are the company's objectives?
- How do you plan to contribute to the company?
