Behavioral Presentation Case Other

My experience interviewing with Crown Castle for a role took about two months and was pretty rough and unprofessional. It started with good communication from the recruiters, but it just faded away until there was no contact at all. Even though I got to the final stage and was one of the last three people for the job, the lack of follow-up was really disrespectful. The worst part was after I did a whole hour-long case study presentation that I spent a lot of time preparing for unpaid. Then the hiring manager told me my presentation style was criticized because I said 'um' too much and stood up instead of sitting. He said the content was fine, but the team didn't like how I presented it. It felt like they were being super picky and trying to change my personality instead of valuing what I know. They kept talking about small things like being able to wear jeans to work as a big cultural perk, which shows what's important to them. Also, they have this strict rule about being in the office four days a week for eight hours straight, which seems really inflexible. The pay they offered for a Director job was way lower than what's normal for this kind of role, especially with the experience needed. As I went through the interviews and learned more about the company's culture and how they manage things, I realized it wasn't the right place for me. In my last conversation, I agreed to redo the presentation the way they wanted, but after that, they just disappeared. No one from the company reached out. I can't respect a company that leaves finalists hanging after they've put in so much time. My advice to anyone looking at Crown Castle is to be careful. The more you find out about their process and culture, the less attractive it gets. Their lack of professionalism and respect for candidates' efforts makes me think they want everyone to be the same and don't really value individuals.

Technical Presentation Case

The first two rounds were super easy, like no real questions asked by them, and they both happened in the same week. The next week, I had to do a third round where I had to prep a case study about communications. The team asked some weird, confusing questions about the hypothetical scenarios in my case study, which made me question their understanding of the Communications Specialist job. The final round had six interviewers who seemed completely uninterested and lacked warmth. It was very technical, with about 40 quick-fire questions in 1.5 hours. This is the second time I've interviewed with Crown Castle and reached the final round, only to be ghosted with no response. Really unprofessional.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I sent in my application online back in November 2020, and someone got in touch for an initial chat within about two weeks. That first conversation was pretty laid-back and mostly about whether my skills and experience lined up with what they needed for the job. About a week after that, I had a more formal, hour-long meeting with the hiring manager. We went over questions about both my specific skills and my past behavior. They were also trying to figure out if I'd be a good fit for the company and the team. The last part of the process was a case study. They gave me a challenge the company was dealing with and asked me to outline how I'd approach solving it. Then, I had to present my slide deck to a group of people and answer their questions. Doing the research for the case study took quite a bit of time, but I didn't find the process unfair, and honestly, I ended up finding it pretty interesting. The whole thing took about 2 to 3 weeks from start to finish.
