First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crossix Solutions Inc..
Marketing Data Analyst
The interview started with a video call on Zoom. After passing that, I got an Excel test with basic conditional questions and some internal jargon. The final round was also over Zoom due to quarantine. It was a super day with a group case study, an individual case study, a peer review, and two final interviews. The whole last part felt a bit chaotic because it was online. The group case study was tough for me since it was my first time looking at so many graphs and charts at once. My advice is to practice analyzing lots of graphs and figuring out how to make sense of them.
- Can you share an experience where you worked with data?
- Describe a situation where you made an error and how you handled it.
- What makes you believe you are a suitable candidate for this role?
Marketing Data Analyst
I connected with the hiring manager via a recruiter. Then, I had a phone chat with a part-time HR person. They seemed a bit curt, but it went okay. A few days later, I was invited for an onsite interview. Upon arrival, I was surprised by the open office layout with no privacy for employees. The onsite included a SQL/Excel test, which was pretty straightforward. I also had a 1:1 with a long-term employee, but they couldn't give me a solid reason to join the company. They mentioned high expectations from the CEO, which was a red flag for me, and I was still unsure about the role. Fortunately, I reached out to an employee I knew from my school, and they shared more insights into the company's work culture.
- Can you solve a logic test using our proprietary language?
Marketing Data Analyst
I applied through my school's career database and they emailed me asking for my availability for a phone interview. The questions were basic, like 'what do you know about what we do?', 'When have you worked with a large set of data?', and 'What is your role in a group setting?'. The next day, they emailed me back inviting me to come into the office for an in-person interview.
- Describe your typical behavior within a group dynamic. For example, do you typically take on the role of a leader, a problem-solver, or a creative thinker?
