Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CrossCountry Consulting.
Consultant
Started with a 30 min screening call with the recruiter, then a 45 min interview with someone from the practice. After that, there was an Excel case study which was fairly simple and an interview with the person overseeing it. Finally, there were 2 technical interviews with practice members. Honestly, everyone seemed really fake and their vibe really showed the off-putting culture during the interviews. I'd suggest avoiding this place.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with difficult data?
- Could you explain three distinct EBITDA adjustments?
Managing Consultant
The interview process started with a 30-minute phone screen with the recruiter. Then, there was a 30-minute interview with an associate director from the same service line. This was followed by three 30-minute interviews with different people in the service line, including a Partner, a Managing Consultant, and a Director. My recruiter/hiring manager was really helpful throughout, keeping me updated and working closely with me to schedule everything. The whole process felt transparent and efficient. The interviews were mostly standard behavioral questions and felt pretty conversational. They might ask about specific examples and the tools you've used.
- Can you describe a project you've worked on?
- What motivates you to want to work for CCC?
Managing Consultant
Four 30-minute interviews happened. It felt like not enough time to really get into details beyond intros and some basic questions. Also, two of the four people I interviewed with (not counting the recruiter call) left the company pretty soon after. Everyone was hyping up the company though. Once I joined, I saw the company and the people weren't really like they were presented during the interviews.
- Can you tell me about your experience with different compliance frameworks?
- What areas of cyber capabilities are you hoping to work in?
- What are your professional aspirations?
