First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CrossCountry Consulting.
Consultant
Started with a 30 min screening call with the recruiter, then a 45 min interview with someone from the practice. After that, there was an Excel case study which was fairly simple and an interview with the person overseeing it. Finally, there were 2 technical interviews with practice members. Honestly, everyone seemed really fake and their vibe really showed the off-putting culture during the interviews. I'd suggest avoiding this place.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with difficult data?
- Could you explain three distinct EBITDA adjustments?
Accounts Payable Specialist
HR contacted me to set up interviews with two people. The initial interview went well, and they were very personable. I was told the CFO is a great person to work with. Next, I interviewed with the Director of People, which also went well and was very personable. Then, I met the team: the person currently doing the job and the CFO. The person from S. Africa was extremely personable and made me feel confident about the role, also praising the CFO. My meeting with the CFO was also good; he was very personable, and we shared laughs while discussing my life outside of work. I was told I'd hear back in two weeks. In total, I met with 5 people, and the whole process took over 30 days. About two weeks later, HR sent an email requesting a sensitive Candidate Sheet with salary requirements. I thought I had the job, but this week I was informed I wasn't selected, and they chose someone from S. Africa. This feels like a slap in the face, especially since they advertised in the US. It was a very long process with many people to meet. They gave me the standard line about considering me for future openings, but my time and energy were wasted.

Managing Consultant
The interview process started with a 30-minute phone screen with the recruiter. Then, there was a 30-minute interview with an associate director from the same service line. This was followed by three 30-minute interviews with different people in the service line, including a Partner, a Managing Consultant, and a Director. My recruiter/hiring manager was really helpful throughout, keeping me updated and working closely with me to schedule everything. The whole process felt transparent and efficient. The interviews were mostly standard behavioral questions and felt pretty conversational. They might ask about specific examples and the tools you've used.

- What motivates you to want to work for CCC?
Manager
So, the interview process started with a phone screen with a recruiter. Then, I had a video interview with the hiring manager. After that, there were supposed to be three separate video "virtual on-sites" with different team members. But, like, 24 hours before the first virtual on-site was scheduled, CrossCountry canceled everything because they had already hired someone internally for the role. Oh, and during the whole thing, I noticed some weirdness with the job description - it said "manager" on LinkedIn but called it a "director" level, and it was advertised as "100% remote" but the recruiter said it was actually an on-site job.
