First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CrossBorder Solutions.
Sales Development Representative
It was a really fast process, but the management didn't seem too encouraging. It felt like they'd work you hard for little reward. They also were unclear about the working hours. Towards the end, the recruiter actually quit, and I got handed off to someone else. After that, it got really confusing and the communication was bad, so I decided not to move forward.
- Tell me about your biggest challenge.
Sales Development Representative
It was a really thorough interview process. First, there were multiple phone calls to qualify me, both with the company CrossBorder and with the recruiting firm, Pareto Law. Then, there was an 'Assessment Day' which ran from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, though I was actually done by around 2:00 pm. This Assessment Day was virtual and included several team activities and an elevator pitch. Even though it sounds long and boring, the recruiters and the earlier phone calls did a great job of preparing me for what to expect and what to prepare. It was more work than I'm used to, but I liked it. I'm glad they were so thorough because my last job wasn't like that. It made me feel like they were genuinely interested in hiring, really willing to invest in the people they picked, and that if I got the offer (which I did), I'd be qualified and would do well.
- Why did you decide to join CrossBorder?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was very smooth and professional. I was contacted by a recruiter who explained everything about the company and what to expect during the interview. I had 2 interviews back to back. One with the sales manager, and the other with the hiring manager. The first interview was generalized towards my work experience and the details of the job itself and what I could bring to the table. The 2nd interview with the hiring manager was more focused on who I was as a person and what drove me as a person. 3 questions were asked and the hiring manager was down to earth and kept it very real. As I was done with the interview, they let me know whether I would be hired or not right after.
