Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CrossBorder Solutions.
Analyst
It was less technical, they were looking for confident and hardworking people. There were 2 rounds. The first was a technical interview usually taken by someone from higher management, and the second was an HR interview which was a bit relaxing.
- What are your basic Microsoft Excel skills?
- Tell me about your last internship experiences.
- Do you have any specific questions related to a finance background?

This interview process was a mess from the start. The job was initially advertised as being in New York City, but that's incorrect as it's actually for their upstate New York location. The first interview had to be rescheduled because the recruiter didn't call me at the agreed time. I made it to the final round, and on THREE separate occasions they failed to call me! During my final conversation, the head manager I spoke with implied I would get the job and that the recruiter would contact me the next business day. I never heard back, not even for a rejection. I emailed the recruiter and was ignored. Save your time and effort, avoid this company. They have terrible reviews from their employees, customers, and recruits.
- Can you introduce yourself and walk me through your resume?
Analyst
First, I met with two managers. After that, I had to complete a writing sample about a transfer pricing article. It was a long assignment, taking around 45 minutes. The writing sample came after meeting with both managers.
- Can you tell me what you know regarding transfer pricing?
