Had a one-hour hiring manager screen with two easy leetcode type questions and a deep dive into my past experience. Then it was an on-site interview, which was a typical panel interview process where I was asked a lot of technical and behavior questions. Got rejected after the panel interview.

The communication from the recruiting team about the status of your application and interviews was very slow, and sometimes nonexistent. The whole process felt rushed initially, then became very slow towards the end, which was quite frustrating. The compensation package isn't competitive compared to others in the industry, and they're not open to negotiation. They seem to value alumni from consulting firms over scientists. There's been some instability with senior leadership turnover. They have many alliance partners to manage. Most of the interview panel members were nice and professional, and the hiring manager was also nice.

The interview process was long, unorganized, and not professional at all. The recruiter was a gaslighter with memory issues, and the hiring manager was nice but gave mixed signals and was also unresponsive. The main interview was a long day with no breaks, except for some 1-on-1 chats that didn't happen. They just kept talking about how well-funded they are. I was ghosted after the presentation. Eventually, after a lot of pushing, they told me the job posting changed or was withdrawn, and they contacted my references. The whole thing took months and was very maddening. Looking back, I'm glad I didn't get an offer because I wouldn't want to work with such an unaccountable group.

I had a lot of interviews over two months. There were multiple HR calls, a call with the hiring manager, a long panel interview, and then a call with the director to see if I would be a good fit after they already told me I was. I went through all the interviews patiently, but then kept getting calls from HR who verbally gave me an offer but didn't send a written one, making me wait a whole month with back and forth communication. After all that, they finally realized HR made a mistake and couldn't hire me, which could have been avoided with better due diligence on the first HR call. I wasn't offered a position after waiting two months.
