During a phone call, you'll likely be asked about your past work experiences and accomplishments. This is your chance to shine and show off your skills. To do your best, prep beforehand by listing your main experiences and achievements from your resume. Try using the present-past-future way to answer: talk about your current job, then your past successes, and finally, how your future goals fit this role. Make sure to focus on experiences that really match the job you're applying for. Use numbers and specific examples to show the impact you made, like hitting a certain customer satisfaction percentage or managing big projects. Stay positive and confident, highlighting your strengths without bragging. For example, you could say, 'I have X years of experience in Y. Currently, I'm a [current role] doing Z. In my last job as [previous role], I did A and B. For instance, I achieved C. I'm keen on joining [company name] because D.' Practicing your answer will help you deliver it smoothly.

The interview journey was super smooth. A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, and I had a phone chat the very next day. Then, I was invited to Miami for an in-person interview within a week. The travel coordinator was awesome, handling all my flights and a great hotel, even sending a welcome gift basket. I got the job offer the day after that. The recruiter in Miami was incredibly responsive, answering emails instantly, even on weekends and evenings. It was great service, but honestly, it should have been a red flag about the long work hours later. If only the job itself lived up to the recruitment hype. It felt like a carefully crafted illusion hiding a demanding work environment.

I applied in the fall for a studio artist position and heard back about a month later from a recruiter. I had a phone call with the recruiter to see if I was the right fit for CP+B. Then the office was closed for 2 weeks during the holidays and then heard back from the recruiter setting up a phone call with a senior in the department I would be working in. Then we set up a half day interview with 5 to 6 people, we scheduled the interview with very short notice. I met with each person for about 30 minutes each but at one point I was sitting there by myself for 30 minutes while everyone was running to meetings and trying to stay on task. I met with people I would be working closely with or under in the department. The company culture looks great minus the long crazy hours that can happen often. Most of the people I met with were very nice and friendly even though you feel a bit intimidated when you first start talking to them.

I was referred to CP+B's internal recruiting team by people I know. Initially, I had a couple of phone calls with recruiting. Then, I went in for some casual chats with the content team. At that time, there wasn't an open role for my level, but they wanted to meet me. Several months later, I was invited back for formal interviews. They really made me feel welcome – from picking me up at the airport, to a welcome package at the hotel, tours from friendly staff, and really engaging interviews. I got an offer and started within 10 days.
