Marketing Assistant
I'm still in the process of interviewing. So far, I've only had a phone screen. I'm waiting to hear back from my recruiter about the next steps.
- Can you describe your current skill set and qualifications and explain how they would be beneficial for this role and contribute to company growth?
Marketing Assistant
The whole application process was really open and clear. I contacted them via phone and email with the necessary info. About a month after, I got an email to set up a phone chat. That call gave me a solid understanding of the company and role. They asked me some basic questions, and I got to ask mine. Right after the call, I had to do a marketing assignment with a few parts, due in 24 hours. This might sound intense, but knowing how Crisp works, it's their best move to find people who fit their culture. Three days later, I got an email to come in for the final interview. Before that, I had to do two short tests: a problem-solving one and a personality one (no cost for either). The main interview was with the CEO and DOO, but I also met and chatted with three other staff members. Everyone I met was very upfront and friendly. The interview had some tough and direct questions, but I never felt disrespected. It was clear they take their interview process seriously to ensure they pick the right people. Crisp also did a great job explaining the company, their vibe, and the job details to make sure it was a good match for me too. The CEO and DOO were really keen on answering all my questions before they had to leave for another meeting, which I really appreciated. The process was detailed and challenging sometimes, but for all the right reasons.
- What are your top 3 priorities in life?
Marketing Assistant
I was referred to apply by a current employee of Crisp Video, who posted about opportunities on social media. To apply, I read the description and instructions on the company website, called the number listed for application instructions, and then emailed my response. Within a couple days I received an email to set up a time for an initial phone interview. The phone screening went very well, and the next step was a mock assignment to be turned in the following morning. I loved this step! I thought this was a really special part of the process that helped me get a sense of the kind of work I'd be doing day to day and the kind of fast turnaround Crisp operates on. I learned from the assignment and enjoyed using my skills and creativity for practical exercises. There were also a couple of personality tests to complete as part of the process, which I admired as a thoughtful way to determine compatibility for the role and the team. The day after turning it in, I received a followup from Crisp to set up a Skype or FaceTime interview with several members of the marketing team. I appreciated the convenience of doing a remote group interview, and it was helpful to meet a lot of people to get a sense of the company culture and how the role I was applying for would fit into the rest of the team. The following day Crisp called to set up an in-person interview with the CEO and Director of Operations. They move fast! I came in that same day, got to tour the office, visited with a few super nice employees while the CEO finished up a meeting, and had a really long, enlightening conversation with him to get to know each other better and determine if it was a good fit. Overall, I had a really positive interview process with Crisp. The company did a great job of communicating who they are, emphasizing what they value, and making the effort to connect authentically with hiring prospects.
