Account Executive
I’ve been contacted by crisp.com recruiters on LinkedIn multiple times over the past few years for an Account Executive role. Even though they reached out often, the interview process was consistently underwhelming. The recruiters seemed to have limited knowledge about me and didn’t ask meaningful questions about my experience or skills. Instead, they focused on questions about remote work preferences, which felt like a way to filter out candidates. They send out a pre-recorded video beforehand explaining their work policies, which made the whole experience feel impersonal and scripted. Overall, it seemed like the company was more concerned with logistical screening than assessing actual capabilities. Their business model also raises questions, particularly regarding its value proposition, especially since AI-driven video solutions can be created affordably with tools like InVideo. This makes me question their long-term viability and the ROI for their customers. If their HR team contacts you, I suggest thinking carefully about whether your time would be well spent.
- Would you prefer to work from home, which is not permitted?
Account Executive
I got reached out to by Crisp a bunch over the last year, and this time I finally decided to go for it. A C-suite person messaged me on LinkedIn, and that led to an initial call with a senior recruiter. We did some interview questions and they told me about the company. Then, I got an assignment due in 24 hours. It had an assessment, a virtual interview, a case study, an outbound sequence, and another assessment. It took me about 3-4 hours to finish. After that, I didn't hear anything for two weeks, just a generic email. Less than a month later, another super high-ranking person emailed me about interviewing again because my LinkedIn looked interesting. I told them I'd just gone through the process, but they said it made sense to chat with another recruiter. That recruiter was late and the call was unstructured. They said I didn't need to do the assignment again and they'd get back to me ASAP. I emailed the person who reached out, saying I was excited. They said I'd hear back soon. It's been a month, and still nothing. Total waste of time, twice. I don't recommend.
