Recruiter from Crisil contacted me about an opening and set up the first interview. On the scheduled day, the interviewer was late, so I waited 15 minutes and let the recruiter know. I was told the interviewer had laptop issues and the interview was rescheduled for the next day. The next day, the interview started on time. The interviewer seemed unsure about what questions to ask, first asking about my DSA strengths, then asking about BFS and DFS without further probing. They continued with simple questions on Java, OOPs, Javascript, and React. Finally, they asked about Spring Boot architecture, even though I had previously stated I had no experience with it. It felt like the interviewer was searching for questions online during the interview.

The interviewer was late and seemed uninterested, constantly interrupting and being accusatory. The conversation didn't touch on the role itself, focusing only on my past work. No technical questions were asked. It felt like they already had a preferred candidate and were just going through the motions.

There were 3 levels of interviews for this Java full stack role. Level 1 was a technical interview covering Java 8 basics and Spring Boot. Level 2, which lasted two days, involved deeper Java questions like the constant pool and hibernate connection pool, with a main focus on design patterns in Angular and Spring Boot. Level 3 was a managerial interview, asking about how I've handled situations throughout my life, from 10th grade to my last job. After passing all these interviews, I got a call from HR and received an offer within 3 days. The interviews were very professional and formal.

  • What do you know about Java 8 concepts?
  • Tell me about spring boot basics.
  • Can you answer some deep questions on Java?
