First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CRISIL.
Financial Analyst
The interview process had over five distinct stages, and it was sometimes unclear what information they were trying to gather about me or which topics they would focus on. A particularly challenging aspect was the client interviews, which are part of the hiring process. It seemed like the clients were primarily focused on their own project needs, leading to a misalignment of interests between the company and the clients.
- What are your thoughts on current and future inflation trends?
- What basic statistical concepts are important?
- Can you explain fundamental macroeconomic concepts?
Financial Analyst
The process was pretty smooth. First, I had an online test that covered accounting, derivatives, and equity investments. Then, there was one technical interview round. The online test was a bit tough, mainly because of the time constraints rather than the questions themselves. During the interview, I was asked about financial ratios and valuation concepts.
- Even if future projections are declining, would you still proceed with using the DCF model for company valuation?
Senior Financial Analyst
It's a long process. 4 interviews. They were done by different analysts. The HR manager was on leave. The offered salary level was low but the growth possibilities are very high.
- Test on corporate finance
