First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cribl.
Sales Manager
It was a quick hiring process, all done in less than 2 weeks. First, I spoke with the hiring manager, then their VP, followed by HR, and finally, I had a panel interview with the broader team. It felt respectful and positive throughout, and they let me know pretty fast they wanted to offer me the job.
- Can you explain your approach to developing a territory plan?
Sales Manager
This was a long drawn out process. I enjoyed everyone I met with except Jim K. That guy is a piece of work and incredibly sexist. He asked me questions like, how do I manage being a mom, handling those responsibilities, and working full-time? I had to meet with a rep before him, she was female. One of his first questions was, how would I compare myself to that rep? Such a bizarre question. Then proceeded to tell me, that my background wasn't relevant, although he's hired many people from my team. He also told me that he had this same exact conversation and named another female rep. I have no idea if Cribl is a good company, up until that point I would've joined. But if they put someone like this in charge of the entire sales orgs, something is really wrong with the culture.
- Can you compare yourself to the previous rep you spoke with, and what distinguishes you from her?
- How would you compare yourself to the rep you spoke to?
- What's different about you compared to her?
Sales Manager
Went through 6 interviews with the leadership team. Had two in-person interviews in NYC, and was available for a panel interview which they changed multiple times. This involved hours of work learning the product and took time from my current job, including working weekends. The last step was supposed to be with the CRO, which was minor and an offer was expected. This meeting was scheduled for Monday morning, but the management team delayed it for over a week. I got a call an hour before they decided to go with another candidate they had in mind. My fault for trusting the leadership team, what a joke!
- What accounts do you currently manage, and how do you approach growing your business?
- Can you explain your process for developing a sales pipeline?
- Describe your methods for building and expanding your business.
