I applied via LinkedIn on Mon 4/14 and got invited for a phone screen on Wed 4/16. I completed the recruiter phone screen on Tues 4/22 and then got invited to interview with the hiring manager on Thurs 4/24. I interviewed with the hiring manager on Mon 4/28 and let the recruiter know what happened. I sent a thank-you email to the hiring manager on Tues 4/29. On Wed 4/30, I got an email saying I didn't get the job, but it didn't give any feedback. I got a survey on Sat 5/3 that had a voluntary EEO questionnaire, which made me wonder if it was more for the company than the candidate. The recruiter was nice but didn't know enough about ABM to really judge a candidate. She said she was responsive but then stopped talking to me when it mattered. The hiring manager started our interview by saying she had to leave soon, which felt cold. She asked 13 questions that felt more like she was trying to get ideas than figure out if I was a good fit. She kept saying the team is 'at a crossroads' and 'trying to figure out ABM.' The questions were really about how to do things and get info, making me think they wanted free ideas instead of just evaluating me. I'm including the questions so you can see. Even though my answers seemed to impress her, she didn't try to connect or talk about the company's values. She didn't try to sell me on the role or the company at all. I only had 10 minutes for my questions and asked two. Her answer to the first one was super long and went into pointless details, so I couldn't ask more. I look for jobs where I can stay long-term and make a big impact. Cribl looked good on paper, but this experience made me doubt it. The ABM department seems new, and I'm not sure if the job was really open or if they just wanted free strategy advice. If you're looking at ABM roles here, be ready to lead without much support and maybe report to someone who is still learning or resistant to new ideas.

The whole interview thing took about a month, and there were 5 rounds total. First was a recruiter call, then I met with one of the execs I'd be assisting, then the hiring manager and the other exec I'd support. After that, I spoke with someone from the legal team, and finally, a c-suite exec and another person I'd work with closely. The process felt long partly because of two holidays and a company offsite week. Everyone I talked to was really great – super energetic, engaged, open, and professional. I honestly enjoyed meeting them all and learning about the company and the job from different people. Even though I didn't get the job (super bummed about it), I can't say enough good things about the company and their culture. The person they hired is seriously lucky!

Behavioral Technical Presentation

This company had a tough interview process with seven interviews total. I did everything right: applied super fast, had referrals, met all requirements, used their sandboxes, and got the certification. It started great with a nice recruiter and Hiring Manager. Then came four round-robin interviews that felt really robotic, like they were testing my ability to handle pressure (which is weird for marketing). I didn't feel like they were actually interested in me, no real conversation. I did well though and moved on to the final interview with the senior leader. That seemed okay except for one question about a key role/deliverable I'd never heard of before, not even in the job posting. It kind of blindsided me and showed poor communication about the job's full scope. I was less excited but still interested. The recruiter said I'd hear back by the end of the week. I followed up Monday, was told by Wednesday. I followed up the next Tuesday and was told 'tomorrow after the team meets.' It's been a month since then, the job's gone, and I never got an answer. Honestly, it felt super disrespectful after 4 hours of interviews and 10 hours getting certified. Basically, I was the first applicant, had referrals, got certified, did all seven interviews, and got ghosted.

I interviewed for the search team and spoke with the recruiter, then the hiring manager. I also completed a take-home assignment which I later discussed with some engineers who seemed senior. They didn't seem to know how Node.js streams work, which was surprising. Discussing the take-home was amusing and discouraging due to their bad attitude, lack of smiles, brief introductions, long silences, and unclear questions. It felt like they wanted me to just agree with their solution. The team's culture felt misleading compared to their Glassdoor profile. The engineers barely knew basic info about each other, showing how siloed the team is.
