First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cranial Technologies.
Sales Representative
The first interview was a 30-minute phone call with HR. Then, I was flown out to the territory for an hour-long interview with the VP of Sales and the District Manager. This interview wasn't difficult if you'd done your homework. The final interview was at company headquarters. It was a panel interview with the HR rep from the first call, the VP of Sales, the District Manager, and a Business Development rep. The whole process took about 2 hours, including a facility tour, a 20-minute PowerPoint presentation, Q&A, and a quick meet-and-greet with the CEO over cookies. I wasn't offered the position. My only issue was not hearing back about the decision, not even a generic rejection email.
- What kinds of questions should I be ready for in this interview?
Sales Representative
Went through an interview with a recruiter, then had to do an assessment test which was 90 min long. After that, I interviewed with the sales manager, then the National Sales Manager. The final round was a panel interview with both of them, plus HR and another National Sales Manager.
- Can you share an example of a time you conducted business to business sales?
- Describe a situation where you had to make a decision that was not popular or favorable.
- Prepare and deliver a PowerPoint presentation for the panel interview.
Outside Sales Representative
The interview went really well, I felt I was overqualified for the role. I actually liked the person who would potentially be my manager. However, what happened after the interview really showed me that the company is run by someone completely out of touch. I've done personality and aptitude tests before. I'll admit I'm more creative and emotional, good with people and highly perceptive, and I tend to be very conversational, which I've seen in many successful sales people. But the aptitude test after the interview was so weird and abstract, it felt like my brain was going to melt. It used made-up symbols and word problems based on them. It had nothing to do with the actual job or demonstrating ability. Whoever hired the psychologist for that test should be fired. It probably explains the company's low ratings.
- The interview questions were pretty standard, but the bizarre test that came after was definitely not.
