The recruiter seemed rude and unconcerned with personal needs, only focused on getting me hired. I heard that OTR (Over-The-Road) with them is scary. The lack of home time concerned me because I have a daughter; even 2 weeks on and a day off would be okay, but they stated 2-3 weeks, and reviews mention it can sometimes be up to 5 weeks with no home time, which scared me away from finishing the orientation.

It was pretty relaxed and informal. They asked about my experience using software for dispatching drivers and if I was okay with working extra hours to cover shift changes. I also had to talk about a situation where I had a disagreement with a coworker and how I handled it.

This company's interview and training process is designed for high volume. If you're breathing, reasonably healthy, and have average intelligence and fitness, you'll be fine. Ask any questions that come to mind and accept that you're just one of many. If you enjoy heavy equipment and driving, consider commercial truck driving, but be aware that compensation isn't what it used to be. Attack your assignments to build a well-paying career.

I sent in my resume and then had a quick 10-minute phone call with the recruiter. They were pretty to the point. After that, I did a panel interview with the recruiter and two managers. Part of the process also involved shadowing a current Driver Manager. The interview was pretty simple and direct, mostly checking if I could handle a stressful job. They also wanted to confirm my commute since I lived pretty far, and one manager was initially hesitant about that, but I managed to convince them.
