First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CPSG Partners.
Integration Consultant
I got referred by an employee at Mercer CPSG. The entire process took about a month. First interview was with the senior hiring manager, and it felt more like a chat where he explained the process. The second interview was with a senior integration consultant who asked about my technical coding skills and past experiences. The final interview was with the VP, the quickest one, where he gave me some brain teasers and talked about the company culture and future. I heard back two days after the last interview.
- Can you tell me about your python skills?
- How are your java skills?
Business Strategy Consultant
I applied online and then talked to the head of recruiting. First was a phone screen with the recruiter to see how I fit, and the recruiter also told me more about the jobs and CPSG. Then I spoke with someone who works there now over the phone. I was asked stuff that checked my knowledge and interest in the firm. Both the recruiter and the current employee were nice and professional, like everyone else at the firm seems to be. It looks like CPSG is a good place to learn and grow with really smart people.
- Tell me about an accomplishment you are proud of.
Business Strategy Analyst
I applied in November 2016 via college careers. First up was an HR phone interview to check my interests and company understanding. Took a month to hear back. Then, in December 2016, I had a second phone interview with a consultant. It was pretty easy, no case questions, just needed to know what Mercer CPSG Partners does and how my skills fit. Another month passed. The final round was with a senior director from Houston. It had standard behavioral questions plus some mental math/quantitative stuff. Right after, HR said the interviewer gave great feedback. The offer letter took another month.

Consultant
I went through two phone interviews and withdrew after the second. My experience was extremely positive, particularly with Stephanie, who was incredibly kind. Even though I decided not to move forward, the overall process was great, and I definitely recommend interviewing here.
