Project Manager
The hiring process was nice and smooth. The interview took about 45 minutes. It began with an HR interview and then moved on to the hiring manager. The questions were very straightforward, mostly focusing on my background and what I contributed to the projects I led.
- Can you tell me about your years of experience and the results you achieved?
Project Manager
I applied through a recruiter and got an interview pretty fast, within a week. The job was listed as a standard project management gig, not technical or QA focused. I had a hunch it might be a mismatch because the hiring manager was a technical lead, and another person interviewing me was a Senior Director. When I joined the call, the technical lead, who I recognized from LinkedIn, immediately asked me to walk through my resume. There was no small talk or intro. She seemed annoyed and even rolled her eyes when I was talking about my experience, which wasn't exactly encouraging.
- Can you give me an overview of your resume?
Project Manager
The interview process started with a pre-screen using HireVue software. This was followed by two Teams interviews. The first panel interview involved 4 people and focused on behavioral questions. The second panel interview had 2 people, also with behavioral questions. Unfortunately, this employer did not inform unsuccessful finalists about their status, showing a lack of consideration for applicants. Both panel interviews consisted of standard behavioral questions. While I enjoyed the conversation during the second interview, the third one felt cold, and one of the managers seemed irritated to be participating.
- How did you prepare for this interview?
