First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CPCS.
Consultant
It was a multi-stage process that moved along well. The HR and leadership teams were proactive and responsive. There were 6 one-on-one conversations and a final panel interview that included a pitch/case study. The conversations felt transparent and genuine, focusing on a mutual fit. It was a respectful process.
- What are your career aspirations?
- What do you look for in a company?
- Do you have any concerns about travel for projects?
Consultant
It began with an HR screening, covering my motivation for applying to the company and other personal questions. Following that was a case study exam with two questions that required logistical thinking and a specific writing format. The subsequent steps involved two more interviews with members of my team, who asked specific questions about my CV and what to expect in the role.
- What makes you want to apply to CPCS?
- Could you share some project examples relevant to this company?
- What led to your decision to switch majors?
Consultant
I got into the company as an experienced hire. A former colleague introduced me to a VP. I was initially looking at being an independent consultant, but I told the VP I was interested in a full-time role. Things moved fast after that. I had a quick first interview with HR, about 30 minutes, where I talked about my career and learned about the company. Then I had a casual chat with a Managing Partner about my consulting work and if I'd fit in culturally. The whole thing took about a month, probably because I had experience and a connection.
- Can you describe an engaging consulting project you've managed?
