Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cox Enterprises.
Program Lead
It was a bit of a lengthy process with three rounds: first, a background check with the recruiter, then a two-part interview that included behavioral questions and a case study, and finally, a group case study interview. No technical questions were asked, and everything was pretty straightforward.
- How would you plan an employee volunteer retreat to an international destination?
Program Lead
Started with a recruiter call for basic logistical questions, some behavioral questions, and asking why Cox. Then, I had two back-to-back interviews on the same day: a 45-minute behavioral interview followed by a 45-minute practical/case-study. I had 20 minutes to prep the case on my own before presenting it. The last round was supposed to be at their HQ, but I didn't make it that far. The process was pretty straightforward and the interviewers were all nice.
- What steps would you take to manage a moon expedition, from planning to return, as if it were a major Neil Armstrong-like event?
Program Lead
It kicked off with a standard behavioral chat with HR, so make sure you've got your diversity answer ready. Then there was a technical-ish interview with the program leader, which mostly involved hypothetical questions to gauge basic business sense. The last stage was a two-parter: a group interview where we had to create a presentation, and a one-on-one case study focused on task prioritization to see how we handle being swamped with tasks.
- If you were to start a business that builds treehouses, what would be your initial steps?
