First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cox Enterprises.
Program Lead
Started with a recruiter call for basic logistical questions, some behavioral questions, and asking why Cox. Then, I had two back-to-back interviews on the same day: a 45-minute behavioral interview followed by a 45-minute practical/case-study. I had 20 minutes to prep the case on my own before presenting it. The last round was supposed to be at their HQ, but I didn't make it that far. The process was pretty straightforward and the interviewers were all nice.
- What steps would you take to manage a moon expedition, from planning to return, as if it were a major Neil Armstrong-like event?
HRTS Analyst
I had a phone interview with the recruiter. The recruiter did most of the talking, and I barely got a chance to speak. They didn't discuss the role itself, only the company. The recruiter was really enthusiastic but talked so much that I don't think they learned anything about me. They said my background seemed like a good match and wanted to set up an interview with the hiring manager. I didn't hear back for two weeks, even after following up. Then, I got a generic rejection email late on a Friday night.
- Are you legally allowed to work in the USA?
Management Consultant
They start with a phone or video chat with a recruiter or HR person to check if you're basically qualified, have the right work experience, and are interested. This usually lasts about 20-30 minutes. You'll probably be asked about your background, why you want this job, what you know about the company, and what salary you're looking for. First, you send in your resume, cover letter, and anything else they need. Then, a recruiter looks at your application to see if your skills and experience fit the job. They might give you a quick call or just email you at this stage.
- ABAP is a high-level programming language created by SAP, a fourth-generation language. The acronym stands for "Advanced Business Application Programming" because it's the language SAP uses to build its Application Server, which is part of SAP’s NetWeaver platform.

I had a call with the recruiter that went very well and she told me she was moving me forward to the next round. I was very qualified and had the niche industry experience they were looking for. A week goes by and I haven't heard, they were slow in their reach out from the time I applied so I wasn't bothered by it. Then out of nowhere I get an automated email telling me the position has been filled. I understand internally hiring happens, however I did not appreciate after speaking with the recruiter personally on the phone for 45 minutes to not even receive an email addressed from her. I emailed her after receiving this just to verify and ask for feedback because I was very qualified. Never heard back.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your experience?
