It was a long process, taking several weeks. It involved two to three in-person interviews, plus online surveys and questionnaires. The Regional Manager asked me to complete a special project where I had to sell one of the division's products. Finally, they flew me to corporate for final interviews with HR, the VP of Sales, the GM, the VP of Marketing, and a Trainer. Then there was a background check before an offer.

Behavioral Presentation

So I interviewed for a medical device sales rep role in the SE United States and it was a super thorough process. I had four interviews in total, so I basically made it to the final round. The questions were really detailed and almost all behavioral. I applied to a few different medical device and pharma sales jobs, and Covidien's interview process was definitely the most professional. They gave me specific feedback on how I could improve when I didn't get the offer, which was cool. Basically, be ready for multiple interview rounds and lots of behavioral questions. They really seemed focused on finding the right person rather than just filling the spot quickly, so bring your best effort.

Behavioral Technical

First they asked some basic questions, went over my resume and my past experience. There were some behavioral questions and some job specific ones, like asking about who I currently call on and what relationships I have. They really stressed cold calling and asked for specific examples of my experience hunting for new business. It's important to have the experience listed, as they weren't looking for transferable skills.
