Software Engineer
I applied for an associate software engineer job. A Covetrus recruiter contacted me about a phone screen. It was just basic questions about my resume and the tech I've used. She also told me about the company and role. Then, she set up an interview with the team lead. It was a video call during COVID-19. He seemed uninterested and said he was hesitant to hire me because I only had 2 months of experience, when they wanted 2 years. It was weird he interviewed me if he was against hiring juniors. His questions were awkwardly worded and very specific. My senior developer friend said he wouldn't have answered them. I asked about doing a coding challenge to show my skills, but they don't do them, which I found unusual.
