So after the HR screening, it was a typical panel interview. We talked about my past experiences, some subject matter expertise, and my general working knowledge. They also asked about things like how I cooperate with others, my attitude, and my ability to learn. The whole thing lasted about an hour and a half.

It was a typical interview for this kind of job. I had to meet with a panel of about 8-10 people. They asked me all sorts of questions, a mix of personal and professional ones. Many of them were "what would you do in this situation" type questions.

I had a panel interview with unit trainers or supervisors from each unit at the plant. They took turns asking me questions, which was a bit intimidating, but the setting was casual at an oval table. I was sick with a bad head cold and set an easy, humorous tone by offering them hand sanitizer so they wouldn't get sick. I smiled, asked questions, spoke with confidence, admitted if I didn't know something, and did my best to stay relaxed. Later, I was told a big part of them hiring me was my attitude. I was their second-to-last interviewee after two straight weeks of interviewing, and they were tired and wanting to get it over with already and get home that Friday afternoon. After I was hired, I asked what made them choose me, and they told me they felt energized again during my interview, which made them feel I'd be good to join their team.
