I reached out to apply because a previous employee suggested it. The HR recruiter was pushy and condescending from the get-go, saying my salary expectations were too high. I tried to be open-minded. The Marketing VP was really nice, but I wish she had been the one to call with the offer, not HR. When I tried to negotiate, the HR person threatened me, saying he'd tell the VP I wasn't interested. I think this had to do with me being young and female. Lots of red flags.

It was a super fast interview process from start to finish. I had a quick chat with HR that was about 5 minutes, and they set up an in-person interview with the local General Manager for that same week. The in-person was also brief, maybe 30 mins, mostly about the job itself. Then, about a week later, I had a final chat with the Regional Head of Operations, which lasted about 20-25 minutes. A few days after that, HR called with the job offer. The people were mostly nice and professional, but the salary was pretty low and the way compensation was set up was too complex to be appealing.

The interview process was unusually long. It began with a recruiter phone screen where I was told I'd hear back by the next day, but when I asked for contact info, they said, 'don't call us, we will call you.' Two weeks later, I received a call for a phone interview with a sales VP, which was unexpected but went well. I was told the VP of Operations would contact me next. After another week and a half, and despite three email follow-ups, I finally got a call for a phone interview that same afternoon, which also went well. The next step was to visit the regional office and speak with the current General Manager, which took a week. Following that, it took three more weeks to schedule two additional phone interviews. I didn't proceed with those last two as I had already accepted another offer.

I met Coverall at a sales convention. They reviewed my resume and asked me a few questions about my experience. As a recent grad, I didn't have direct sales experience but had relevant work and school activities. Two recruiters spoke with me, asking basic questions like 'What interests you in sales?' and 'Why Coverall?'. They were really nice and just wanted to see if I'd be a good fit.
