So, I first connected with them at a career fair at my school, and that led to an interview. The interview itself was in-person and felt super long, like 5 hours easily. I met with three people from the team and had to do three assessments: one where I had to reconcile and differentiate numbers in two columns, a basic math test, and then a personality assessment. After that, I got to talk to the CFO directly before they made a final decision. I appreciated that it was very technical, but man, it took forever.

The interview process stayed the same throughout my tenure and appears to be unchanged. Initially, there's a conversation with someone from the Finance department. If successful, you'll be given a test assessing basic math skills without a calculator. Passing that leads to a mental aptitude and personality test. A mismatch in personality for the role means no hire, as this assessment holds significant weight. A co-founder makes the final decision and will disregard applications if a specific box on the form is filled out against instructions – highlighting the importance of meticulousness. The company historically has had few women in finance.

First, I had an initial screen with someone from HR. Then, I did a behavioral assessment. After that, I had a formal interview with a manager. Lastly, I had an informal chat with the manager before getting the offer.
