So the interview process involved a coding challenge with a few different questions about runtime analysis, data structures/algorithms, and "why Course Hero?", followed by a tech interview and then an on-site interview which included a behavioral interview, a technical interview, and lunch. The whole thing was really great and they got back to me really fast with feedback at each step. Everyone was super nice and made me feel welcome, even the recruiter Mabel who was honest and friendly about everything. I wish things had worked out so I could accept the offer!

I was contacted by a Senior Technical Recruiter who set up a remote technical screen. Two days later, the Recruiter let me know I'd be moving on to a second remote tech screen. After that went well, I was scheduled for an onsite interview two weeks out, which felt a bit slow. Post-onsite, the Recruiter said they'd get back to me in two days, but it actually took four. Then, an email arrived about 'Next Steps with Course Hero,' asking for a quick call. The recruiter was 30 minutes late for this call and then delivered the news that my experience wasn't a close enough match to their tech stack. So, 'next steps' apparently meant rejection. It was a bit of a misleading and unprofessional experience due to the delays and apparent lack of enthusiasm from the recruiter. A disappointing process overall.

First, I had a phone screen to check if I was alive and asked some high-level questions about data structures and web dev concepts. Then, a technical screen on a shared notepad. They initially said I'd have an onsite and sent a schedule with who I'd meet. But two days later, they emailed saying there was a problem with my technical screen and to wait for an update. I never heard back and they eventually cancelled the onsite. The whole thing felt really unprofessional.
