First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Course Hero.
Intern
I applied online and got an email saying I passed the initial check. Then, they emailed asking what I liked about Course Hero and Knowledge Drive, why I'm applying, and my availability for a phone interview. They confirmed a time. The phone interview was chill and easy. They asked about my knowledge of Course Hero and Knowledge Drive, my university involvement, career goals, and how I'd do the internship tasks. It was straightforward if you researched beforehand! Know Course Hero, highlight your campus involvement, and think about how to get people to join your team for document uploads. I then got an email with info on pay and the internship details. I had to read it and explain what I'd do in the first 1-2 weeks and how I'd recruit people for my team.
- What do you know about the origin of Course Hero?
Intern
Got an email back for a phone interview within a week of applying on their website. The interviewer was very nice and friendly, so I felt comfortable with her during the interview. The entire thing lasted for 25 minutes max, if I remember correctly. The questions weren't too difficult, just the standard stuff you always get in interviews: strength, weakness, leadership abilities, how you once handled an obstacle/issue, how you work in teams, etc.
- Can you share an instance where you showed leadership?
Student Leader
The whole interview process took around 2 weeks. First, I had a phone interview where we discussed my previous work experience and career goals. The interviewer was friendly and approachable, which made me feel at ease during the conversation.
- Can you describe your experience?
