The interview process for the Content Creator role at Course Hero had 3 main stages. First, there was a 15-question multiple-choice exam that took 45 minutes. Second, there was a 10-question essay exam where I had to correct content, which took 2 hours. The third stage was a final interview. I only completed the first two steps. Both exams were manageable if you remembered high school Economics concepts, as the role was for a Content Creator for Economics. What I found unusual was that they didn't provide specific job details beyond what was on the job posting before asking about my minimum salary requirements. The interviewer also seemed unsure about my role and the responsibilities of a content creator.

I applied via referral, sending in my resume and a cover letter. I was contacted really quickly, maybe a day after, and ended up having 2 phone screens in total (one with the recruiter, and another with the hiring manager), then I had a writing assignment, and after that, a video call to talk about the assignment. The whole process was really smooth and efficient. Alex and the recruiting team were super helpful and totally transparent, which I really liked. All the emails were super clear and came in really fast. There weren't long waits between the interview steps, and everything happened pretty fast. Even though Alex and her team seemed really busy, she still managed to send thoughtful and quick responses at every stage. I had a really good experience with everyone I talked to, and I'm super thankful for that.

Behavioral Technical

I applied and they reached out to me, asking for my portfolio. I sent it over and had to follow up to see what the next steps were. Then I had a screening, which was a phone call. I'm in Canada and the call was from the US, so I had to pay for it. Might be worth looking into Zoom, maybe with cameras off, you know? They said they'd get back to me in about three days, but then they just ghosted. I tried following up again, but still no reply.
