The interview process was pretty standard and had 3 rounds. First up was the HR interview, which was mostly just getting to know you and talking about your background. Then came the Manager Interview, where they hit you with technical questions about SQL and Unix to check your skills. Finally, there was a more in-depth chat with the APAC VP and Critical Support Manager, where they wanted to hear about your past experiences, specifically the toughest situations you've faced and how you handled them.

This interview was a complete waste of my time. The recruiter in their Pittsburgh office clearly didn't review my experience or qualifications at all. Why even provide a resume if it's not going to be read? He seemed unaware of common industry practices or tools and appeared to be confusing me with other candidates. His communication skills were also lacking. I suspect nepotism, a common issue in startups, might be at play here. This role isn't actually an IT position; they seem to be looking for a customer service representative and just using a more senior title. Based on current employee reviews, the company itself might be good and treat people well, but they really need to re-evaluate their hiring process.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you discuss your previous work experience?
