The interviewer, who seems to be a senior leader, didn't focus on typical Business Analyst skills like data analysis, Python, R, Statistics, SQL, or machine learning, despite them being in the job description. Instead, he mainly talked about his own struggles with product strategy and asked for my ideas on how to overcome them. He didn't ask any technical or behavioral questions. My sense is that he's looking for someone to help him figure out how to lead his team and utilize their data for product strategy. The recruiter, on the other hand, was very professional and screened candidates based on the listed qualifications. It's a shame for the recruiter that the interview process doesn't align with the job requirements.

I applied online and a recruiter reached out to schedule a call. We discussed my background and skills, and then they wanted to schedule a second interview with the hiring manager. I had to turn it down because I was relocating.

I applied on 10/2 and got a voicemail on 10/26 about a different role. I emailed back clarifying the position I applied for and my limited availability, asking for an email so I could provide specific times. After receiving the email, I sent my availability for the next week. I was ghosted and didn't get a confirmation in time. Then, on a day I was supposed to be free, the HM emailed asking to do the phone interview. I'm not entry-level and don't appreciate being treated as if I'm on call. I'm not interested in working for managers who lack respect and are self-centered.
