Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Coty.
Supply Planner
They start with a phone interview in English. Then they schedule a first interview with who would be your boss. I know that if you pass it, an interview with HR follows, and then with the director of the area. They are simple interviews from the point of view that there are no exams or tests, but rather getting to know you.
- Why are you interested in working here?
- What makes you believe you are the right candidate for this position?
Supply Chain Planning Intern
The process was short. I applied for the position and got a call from HR in Budapest a few days later. The interview was short, about 10 minutes, and in English. Then, I was invited for another online interview with two managers that lasted about 45 minutes. The interview was entirely in English and had quite complicated questions. After it ended, I wrote to HR with my feedback (they asked for it), and I didn't receive any comments until two months later when they told me I hadn't been selected, and only because I sent several follow-up emails about the process...
- Walk me through your CV.
- Tell me about a time you made a mistake at work. How did it make you feel and how did you fix it?
- Describe a situation where you worked in a team. What was your role and what was the outcome?
Demand Planner
The recruiter seemed really attentive and reliable at the start. I had a second interview with the hiring manager, but I wasn't selected (there were 4 of us shortlisted). However, the recruiter asked me to apply for another role, saying I was a great fit. A different recruiter handled the second role I was asked to apply for, and I filled out the online form again. He called me once without warning while I was abroad, and I missed it, even though I had told them I'd be away. I sent him 3 emails with no response. After a couple of weeks, I got an automated email saying other candidates were a better fit. I felt this was really disrespectful! The initial job opening was posted three times within two months after my first interview, which seemed really strange to me.
- Can you share your past experiences?
- What would be your ideal workday?
- How do you envision working within an international team while working remotely?
