For an internship at an international company, I was surprised by the four rounds of interviews. The pay for this post-grad, 1-year internship in downtown Toronto was minimum wage ($35,000 CAD/year), which was non-negotiable and had no benefits. It's hard to live in downtown Toronto on that salary with a university degree, as not everyone can live at home rent-free and the cost of living is very high. The internship also didn't guarantee a full-time role afterwards. I had to decline the offer because many other companies pay more and value their interns instead of overworking and underpaying them. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time interviewing here!

I was doing an internship and took a few hours off work to attend the interview. When I arrived, the HR person wasn't there. I then got a text saying she'd be late... She asked me some crazy questions and said my answers were generic. But in the end, she still gave me advice for future interviews.
