Behavioral Technical

The interview process was a panel interview. It included a 30-minute meeting with a senior manager and a 30-minute meeting with a partner. The interviews were mainly behavioral with a little bit of technical. They happened at the company's office in Alexandria near Old Town. It's a small office, but it's decent.

Behavioral

The hiring process was really smooth and professional. I had conversations with HR, the Accounting Manager, and a Partner during my on-site interview. I found out about their decision in under two weeks. Even though I didn't get the job, I'm not upset with them. Everyone I talked to was really professional and nice throughout. I've dealt with other CPA firms before and they can be kind of stuck up, but the people at Cotton and Company were genuinely down-to-earth and professional, which was a nice change.

Behavioral Technical

I interviewed with the recruiter, the manager, and a partner. It was pretty relaxed, and everyone seemed nice. It wasn't too technical. You really have to mess up to not get an offer, which is ironic because many people don't get one. I don't know why. One thing is clear: they hire smart people, not necessarily hard workers.
