First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cotton On.
Customer Service Representative
The video interview went well. The interviewer started by introducing themselves and their position within the store. Then, they asked me some questions, such as 'tell me about yourself' and 'what do you know about cotton on?'. I didn't receive a job offer though.

Customer Service Representative
I applied online and after about three weeks, got a call saying I'd have an interview. It turned out to be a group interview, which I found out from a follow-up email. When I got to the store, they were running late, but then led us to the food court where they had set up about 4 or 5 tables for the group interview. There were around 10 of us interviewing and 3 managers from Cotton On. It was noisy because it was lunchtime. First, we filled out another 3-page application. Then, we were told to talk to the person next to us for 5 minutes and then 'sell' that person to the managers. I had trouble with this because the person I talked to asked me most of the questions, leaving me with little to work with for my presentation. After that, we had about 3 minutes to write down some notes about ourselves and then 'sell' ourselves to the managers. This was all done in front of everyone else, which felt a bit awkward because I didn't want to take up too much time. They didn't ask any other questions like ones I've seen online. They mentioned at the start they weren't looking for just 'smiles' but people who could actually sell products, even though I've never had anyone offer help when I've shopped there. Then, one of the managers talked about their idea of customer service. They said anyone hired would be called after 5 PM and would need to return to the mall that night to complete more paperwork, though some people mentioned they could come another time if hired, and the managers seemed fine with that. I wasn't hired. My experience wasn't great; I would have preferred a one-on-one interview where I could have had more time to talk. I suspect they're looking for a very 'perky' salesperson, so if you want the job, try to be 'perky' on top of any other skills. I'm friendly but not 'perky,' and I don't want to fake that. However, I'm glad I went because now I have experience with group interviews. The store does have nice clothes and good prices. Hope this helps!

Customer Service Representative
One on one interview with Seek. Got called back within the week for a casual coffee style chat interview. They asked how I would handle certain customer service situations and about customer service experiences I've had, good or bad. Also asked about handling stress and talking to different types of people.
